The long tail closet

Summer is one step closer in Saarbruecken. My favorite opaque stocking started looking dull for the season. So last weekend, I decided to fill my closet with flowery sun dresses and tank tops. And this involved sorting out winter clothes, a major challenge. I realized, when it comes to wardrobe, my attention gets seriously skewed--it will definitely follow a power-law distribution. I rotate among a few school girl outfits, and leave most others untouched.

I found an ivory long winter coats that was kindly shipped from Korea; the poor thing was hiding in my closet all this time. A herringbone hat that goes well with horseback riding pants never saw sunlight; a silk brown jacket I got last winter is still with a price tag. Any my precious white cashmere cardigan never made it to work. Not to mention new pairs of Ferragamo and Prada shoes that haven't made out of the box yet. No, mia.. this cannot be true!

I am saying ciao ciao to the shy goodies that have been hiding in my closet and packing them for donations. Some already found new owners, my girl friends in town. And from today, I am trying out the long tail wardrobe. I'll pick and wear things with the reverse order of attention. Please don't make fun of me wearing all the funny colors.
